Dubai Marina is one of the most active neighbourhoods in the city. The Marina Walk is full of people running, cycling, and coming off morning swims before 8am. The gyms along the waterfront are busy from 6am. And the cafés serving the fitness crowd have to meet a higher standard than average because the customers know what good food looks like.
Açaí fits this neighbourhood better than almost anywhere else in Dubai. Here is what the Marina açaí scene looks like and what to order when you visit.
Why Dubai Marina Is an Açaí Neighbourhood
The demographics of Dubai Marina skew young, health-conscious, and international. A significant portion of residents have lived in cities where açaí culture is already established, whether that is London, Sydney, São Paulo, New York, or any number of other markets where organic bowl food has become mainstream.
These customers can tell the difference between real açaí and a pale imitation. They know what a proper texture should feel like. They recognise quality granola when they eat it. This is exactly the customer that makes Dubai Marina a natural home for a brand that takes sourcing seriously.
Projeto Açaí at Dubai Marina
Our Marina location is on Al Hubob Street, a short walk from the Marina Walk and accessible from the main gym strip. We open at 7:30am Sunday through Thursday, and 8am on Fridays and Saturdays, which means we catch the early morning training crowd before they head to work.
The full bowl menu is available from opening, which is unusual. Most cafés do not build to full capacity until mid-morning. At Projeto Açaí Dubai Marina, the first customer through the door has access to the complete range.
What to Order at Dubai Marina
If you are visiting for the first time, start with the Everton: organic açaí, banana, granola, and honey. It is the most straightforward expression of the base açaí and shows you exactly what the product quality is like without distraction.
If you train in the morning and want something that works harder, try the Peanut Bomba: açaí, banana, and our homemade peanut butter. The fat and protein from the peanut butter extends the energy release and makes it a more substantial post-workout meal.
For something different from the standard bowl, the Paraíso is worth trying: açaí with mango, coconut, and passion fruit. It is the most tropically Brazilian bowl on the menu and works particularly well in the Dubai heat.
Beyond açaí bowls, our Marina location also serves poke bowls, healthy breakfast options, tapioca, and a full drinks menu including matcha lattes and Brazilian coffee. The full menu is available throughout the day.
